Haleakala Sunrise:

The word Haleakala translates to house of the sun. This piece is inspired by the time I climbed to the top of the world at four o’clock in the morning. The mountain top was tipped in the clouds, and the world was both cold and dark for a very long time and then suddenly this wondrous ball of deep red light peeked though the mist and the world was bathed in a soft crimson light not unlike the turning pink of a newborn human…..
